AWEC 2010 Membership Contest Is Underway

AWEC members were invited to participate in a contest to win a free one-year membership. The contest, fully explained on the Membership page of this website, challenges members to recruit new members and secure renewal of former AWEC members who have not been active for at least two years. The winner of the 2009 contest was announced at the conference in November. Dr. Mary Livers, Louisiana, was the winner of our membership contest. Mary recruited 11 new AWEC members.

AWEC's Annual Membership Training Institute

AWEC's 15th Annual Membership Training Institute will be in Denver, Colorado, September 17-19 This training is restricted to members only. The AWEC Training Institute will be held in conjunction with the biannual conference of the Women Working in Corrections and Juvenile Justice. In the coming months you will find agenda, hotel, and registration materials on the Download page of this website.

AWEC Emerging Executive Training Institute

AWEC will sponsor its annual Emerging Executive Training Institute on September 17, 2010 in Denver. This institute is for female mid to senior level managers who are emerging leaders in the corrections field. Space is limited and applicants must submit a resume with their application. Deadline is July 15, 2010. Applications will be reviewed by AWEC's leadership and accepted applicants will be authorized to attend the Institute so long as space is available. Agenda, hotel, and E2 application will be found on the Download page and in the summer newsletter on the Download page..
